    Dear Sir/Madam:

When I am building my site, I found blog list whatever in home or in blog page. They always show full text not excerpt.
I try to modify it in wp-admin/settings/Reading but did not work. Can you help?

    Thank you!

    Hi Richard

Please follow the below help article to add the Read More button in the blog.

Let us know if it works.

    Thanks

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply. The problem still not solved.
I need to show the list of the blog summary. Usually, they can be automatically done. But It did not happen in this theme(ConsultStreet Pro). And also I can’t find any control or button on it.

The article you send that mentioned:

The first is that excerpts are completely theme dependent. If your theme does not use the_excerpt tag, then no matter what you type in the excerpt box, your theme will show the full content of your post on your homepage and archive pages.

Hope can get back reply soon.
    Thank you!

    Richard

ps. From your reply, I had known how to use the “more” tag to list the articles. They may will be my one of the options but not the most good solution I need.

    Hi Richard

    Thanks for your feedback.

We did not provide excerpt support on the theme at this time. In fact, you can display the selected text on the blog using more tags. It also shows the content like the excerpt as well.

so that is why we can’t provide the excerpt in the theme.

    Have a great day ahead.

    Thanks
