    Hi,
    I am using ConsultStreet PRO.
How do I add a menu to the top, so that I’ll have two menus there ?
(as far as I can see none of the menu-widgets available will allow me to place additional menu at the top …?)

Thanks in advance for your assistance

    br Carsten

    Hi Carsten Andersen

    Thanks for contacting us.

You can use the below plugin to display the menu on the top header.

So please install and activate the menu plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/groovy-menu-free/.

And please replace the below link code in consultstreet-pro >> template-parts >> site-header.php file.

Let us know if it works.

    Thanks

    Thanks a lot !

I installed the Groovy menu plugin, and it works just fine. Only thing is that the Groovy menu is placed ABOVE the Site Top Header, and I don’t know how to get the Site Top Header back on top of the site, so if you could assist on that too it would be appreciated 🙂

I didn’t replace the link code in consultstreet-pro >> template-parts >> site-header.php file. I don’t know how to do that (I tried to find out where to do this, but I failed)

Yes – that is the way I want to display the top header (like in your screenshot)

Additional question: In SETTINGS>READING I have selected “Summary” for For each article in a feed, show.
However, on the frontpage still the full text of my post is displayed (I have so far made only one post).
How do I adjust to show only the summary of my posts on the frontpage ?

me again – problem with full text of posts instead of summary has been solved (used More Tag function in classic editor (surprisingly I couldn’t find More Tag function in Gutenberg editor – or whatever the name of the normal editor is…?)

So, now just waiting for your feedback on the “site top header and menu issue”

It works – except that the Groovy Menu appears twice and is still on top, so from top-down it now displays the following:

    1. Groovy Menu
    2. Site Top Header
    3. Groovy Menu
    4. Standard Menu (don’t know if it is actually called “Standard Menu”, but you know what I mean)

So, now I just wanna get rid of the “extra” Groovy Menu as per 1) above.

    Hi,
I don’t know how to safely send a screenshot, so I have sent it as a picture attached to an email to the following address: themearile@gmail.com, and with reference to the topic we are discussing here.

As you will see – after inserting the suggested code in template-parts >> site-header.php file – the Site Top Header, the Groovy Mega Menu and the WP Menu are now displayed in the right order.

BUT … as you can also see the Groovy Mega Menu is still also displayed at the top of the screen, and inbetween this menu and the Site Top Header there is a grey “bar” without any content, except a “<” at the very left.

I want to remove the Groovy Menu Bar + the grey “bar” from the top of the screen so I only have the following bars in this order from top>down:

1 Site Top Header (the one with dark blue background)

    2. Groovy Mega Menu (the one with green background)

    3. WP Menu (the one with light blue background)

    Hope you can help

    br Carsten
