Warning, if you run a child theme of ArileWP and you have WPML language translation
then DO NOT switch language while customising the website.
ArileWP will save the translated strings into its WP-Options database record, and some of them you can never get them out again (such as the main menu contact button name).
This is not necessarily a bug – it is insufficient awareness of translation – but it is certainly a catastrophe.
Yes I tried editing the WP-Options record, but then ArileWP failed to load the whole record. I ended up going back to the 4-year-old parent.
Perhaps I’m supposed to only customise the base theme not the child?
Anyway I spent so long repairing that I don’t have time to investigate further – this is just a warning.
(It wasn’t all bad. I made some improvements and updates to Homepage content while I was putting it back)
