Elementor | Content Area error | Page template’s code

Hi,

I need to use Elementor on the Homepage. One of the solutions explained here (https://elementor.com/help/the-content-area-was-not-found-error/?utm_source=editor-panel&utm_medium=wp-dash&utm_campaign=learn#:~:text=%3C%3Fphp%20the_content()%3B%20%3F%3E%C2%A0) is to put this code <?php the_content(); ?> on the page template’s code.

However, I tried to put it there, but I think the page does not allow adding code.

Can you please give me access to it or put this code there in order for the homepage to work with elementor?
